Between the villages of Naslavcea and Verejeni there is a slope with big boulders, perfect for bouldering. The place is on the bank of the Dniester, almost at the very north of the country. On the opposite bank is the Ukrainian village of Kremenne. The area is a nature reserve, «The Steep Bank of the Dniester». It is a three and a half hour drive from Chișinău.

Sarmatian limestone is rich in micro-relief: lots of positive pockets. There are overhangs. The rock is quite solid. The boulders are up to 5 meters high. Although they sit on a steep slope, the ground below the walls is flat – convenient for laying out crash pads. Shade comes in the afternoon. There is potential for dozens of both easy and hard problems.
Right above the boulders there is a plateau with a clearing. There is a table and traces of campfires: people come here for picnics. You drive in along a dirt road between the forest and a sunflower field. There is no drinking water source in the immediate vicinity. There is a well on the road. You can also walk down the path to the Dniester, where there is a stream.
